I was wondering the other day, which came first, the Seminole chop or the Atlanta Braves chop?

FSU. The Braves actually had to ask FSU for permission and last time I heard they use the Marching Chiefs soundtrack to play the warchant.

That makes sense, because it sounds exactly the same.

I think that the Braves should have to use something else.

Not a fan of the rap but the "video"/slideshow was nice. And yeah, they sound the same because they are exactly the same, the Braves just play a recording of the Chiefs.... Atlanta didnt start doing the chop until Deion showed up.

The Florida State War Chant is licensed to the Atlanta Braves as the Tomahawk Chop.

The War Chant came before the Chop.

BTW, that rap version plays on the radio in Tallahassee on the hip hop/R&B/rap/pop music stations like Hot 104.9 who don't want to play the normal version.
