from LeBatard's Herald article....

Nervous?

''Never,'' says 20-year-old Miguel Cabrera.

But don't you know Yankee history?

''I'd rather not know,'' he says.

But what about Clemens' 300 victories?

''He has to throw to me,'' Cabrera says.

Do you even know who David Wells is?

''What does he know about me?'' Cabrera asks.

He wasn't being cocky, just innocent and honest. He is, not unlike his team, just oblivious enough about the task ahead not to fear it. Ask him, for example, if even he is amazed that he hit a 400-foot homer on a perfect 1-2 pitch even Kerry Wood said afterward he thought was unhittable, and Cabrera shakes his head.

Has he even seen replays of the home run?

''No,'' he says. ``What for? It's over. We already won.''

All these Marlins look at all the Yankee history & mystique and say, "Yeah, so??"

LOL awesome. I bet a lot of the team echoes his thoughts. These guys don't care about history, and that could be the best reason of them all why they could shock the world and beat the Yankees.
