August 26, 200718 yr 1,000 at-bats into his career... This season he's hitting .274. Career average? .274. This season his on-base is .373. His career average is .363. This seasons slugging happens to be .492. Career is .486. Can you ask for more than that? Year in, year out, you know what you're getting from Josh Willingham.

August 26, 200718 yr remember this?: "Willingham, deep left field, and deeeep and GONE! BALLGAME! JOSH WILLINGHAM! A walk-off two run-shot! Hello!"--Rich Waltz
August 26, 200718 yr He isn't consistent at all, but he can sure hit when he wants to, and I think he's a solid starter for years to come.
August 26, 200718 yr He's not a dominant player, but he is a more than solid contributor player and in many ways a Conine part two...albeit a bit less clutch but similar type player. He's always been one of my favorites and I wish he would have gotten more of a shot to play before the firesale because he always looked like a competent hitter.
August 26, 200718 yr If he could hit lefties like he did last year (1.030 OPS) while he hits righties the way he does this year (.950 OPS), you're looking at a .396/.577/.973 line. But until he does that, he hasn't done that. Gotta love his eye irregardlessly.
