September 7, 200718 yr I've never smoked pot and I wish I was rich. I have smoked pot, hate the stuff and I am not rich, but hooray for stereotypes! You've got me you clever bastards! Don't give me the anti sterotype bulls*** just look at some of the Paul blogs and tell me you guys don't stereotype. Living in glass houses is FUN FUN FUN! BTW, going back to the discussion brought up two months ago on the guy when all of you were telling me Paul was going to make a big move. Did that big move entail polling now at 2% in Iowa? What anti stereotype bulls*** are you talking about?? You pegged Ron Paul supporters as pot smoking rich kids, we simply came out said we are not. Why is that a big deal? Did you get picked on as a little kid by a Ron Paul supporter or something? I have no clue why you keep ranting about this pot smoking rich kid BS. I don't see it at all, but whatever. I could care less about his followers, I only care about his ideas. Thumbs up on the reading comprehension. You care about ideas so why then don't you do what was asked of you and explain how a guy who claims to be the only guy in the election offering personal freedom is also a guy who opposses adoption for gay couples? Either he cherry picks his personal freedoms just like every other canidate or he took this stance to get elected in Texas because it's a political liabilty. Either way, he's the same type of politician as every other person in this election. My problem is I'm tired of his supporters telling me what to think when the guy they support is same mold as every other canidate How the hell is a gay couple adopting a child personal freedom??? That is not freedom! Please explain how that is freedom and then we can continue this debate. IMO they are free to be gay, free to marry, free to do ANYTHING in their own personal life except something that would effect another life. Adopting a child is effecting another life. The child will have to live in an abnormal family and might suffer because of it.
September 7, 200718 yr Either way, he's the same type of politician as every other person in this election. My problem is people like you who can't take a f***ing joke and worship guys like this clown. My goodness. Why are you so angry about it??? 1. I don't worship him. I simply want him to be president. If he isn't (and 99% chance he won't be) big deal. I'll have to deal. As long as Hillary and Obama doesn't win it, I'll be fine. 2. Where is the joke? I don't get where I was supposed to say "ohhh Rune was just kidding!!" Seriously...can you show me where you were joking? Because of you were and I took something serious that you were joking about I apologize. 3. He isn't a clown.
September 7, 200718 yr My goodness. Why are you so angry about it??? Ron Paul supporters gang banged my wife... I don't know I'm kinda sick today which forces me to be an obnoxious a**hole.
September 7, 200718 yr But being rational, how the hell is a guy who campaigns personal freedom opposed to gay adoption without it being for political reasons? If you can explain this to me it'd be appreciated. I can't explain it. It's a stupid position to hold. With that said, I don't think gay rights/marriage/adoption or abortion should be federal issues. But hey, that's just me. Here's my question; are there ANY candidates out there that you agree with 100% on every issue? If so, you are a lucky SOB because I'm lucky to find someone I agree with 60% of the time. Again, I know Paul isn't a perfect candidate for me, but I do like most of his message and agree with him on the majority of his opinions as they relate to the issues most important to me. Here's what I find most important that Paul also supports:Government out of regulating economy & out of our bedrooms. Supports Balanced Budget Amendment & on-budget accounting. Voted NO on Constitutionally defining marriage as one-man-one-woman. Voted NO on making the PATRIOT Act permanent. Voted NO on Constitutional Amendment banning same-sex marriage. Voted YES on funding for alternative sentencing instead of more prisons. Legalize industrial hemp. [not important but hemp is an amazing product] Legalize medical marijuana. [in concert with the wishes of AMA] Abolish the federal Department of Education. [state's Right] Voted NO on speeding up approval of forest thinning projects. Voted YES on reducing Marriage Tax by $399B over 10 years. Voted YES on establishing tax-exempt Medical Savings Accounts. Congress should write fewer laws regarding church & state. Voted YES on raising 401(k) limits & making pension plans more portable. Voted YES on reducing tax payments on Social Security benefits. Voted YES on retaining reduced taxes on capital gains & dividends. Voted YES on providing tax relief and simplification. Voted YES on making permanent an increase in the child tax credit. Voted YES on permanently eliminating the marriage penalty. Voted YES on $99 B economic stimulus: capital gains & income tax cuts. Voted YES on Tax cut package of $958 B over 10 years. Voted YES on eliminating the Estate Tax [that tax has already been paid!] Voted NO on banning Internet gambling by credit card. [*cough* *BODOG* :thumbup ] Undeclared wars never end & we lose. We should have declared war in Iraq, or not gone in at all. Stop policing Iraq's streets; have Iraqis take over. Intervention abroad incites hatred & attacks like 9/11. Voted YES on redeploying US troops out of Iraq starting in 90 days. Voted NO on declaring Iraq part of War on Terror with no exit date. I don't know I'm kinda sick today which forces me to be an obnoxious a**hole. Evidently... :whistle
September 8, 200718 yr I say what this group needs is to set up a Fight Club. We're all fixin' to slug the hell out of each other, thanks to Iraq.
September 8, 200718 yr "We're not the divided states of america." My God, does Huckabee think we are fifth graders? I am tired of these phony conservatives bashing Paul. I can see if you are a Newt [Gingrich (for those "conservatives" who forgot what a real conservative is)] hold out, or even holding your nose and supporting Fred Thompson. But, it makes me want to vomit if you claim to be a "Reagan" or any other "conservative" if you support McCain, Romney, Giulliani, or Huckabee. Huckabee was praised by socialist Bill Maher for being liberal on economic issues: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8EkK1vhYYgU McCain, for those of you with a memory of recent history, is well known for being practically a Democrat. Look at his immigration and campaign finance initiatives. McCain was rumored to contemplate switching to the Democratic Party in 2002: http://www.tnr.com/doc.mhtml?i=express&s=chait051402 Pffftt, what a conservative. Mitt Romney was the governor of Massachusetts. Do I really need to explain more? Well, just in case you know nothing about politics, Massachusetts is probably the second most liberal state behind Vermont and Romney was essentially a liberal governor. Details available from Boston.com http://www.boston.com/news/local/politics/...y_to_the_right/ Rudy Giulliani has one conservative bone with him: he is ruthless when it comes to making sure white people are safe. Whether that means cracking heads, sodomizing people with plungers, or acting real macho when talking about them A-Rabs while using the Napoleonic cliche "the best defense is a good offense."* However, he is liberal economically and socially. So, it is more accurate to say he is a pro-bashing heads liberal than he is a pro-choice republican. Sure, such a combination works beautifully in NYC, but NYC is not the whole country. Newt Gingrich, Fred Thompson, and Ron Paul--those are your only real conservative choices that have any chance whatsoever of winning. You support any of the other guys, you might as well vote for Hillary Clinton--she is also in favor of bashing open Iraqi heads. Her and Giulliani should have a get together sometime. *I believe the real quote from Napoleon was something along the lines of "those who hide behind their fortifications will fail."
September 9, 200718 yr I doubt that Gingrich is running, and I really think that he wouldn't get enough support regardless. If he IS running, he should hurry up already. We could have a late December primary soon.
