Recalling the first proposed offseason plan that I created, I realized it would have been unrealistic and a failing plan. I based most my projected moves on rumors that I culminated into one. So, I have reviewed my plan and made some corrections that I hope are more sensible and realistic. The following outlines my revised proposed offseason plan.

 

1. Re-sign IF Aaron Boone to a 1 year, $850K contract with a mutual option for 2009 worth $1.0 million.

2. Trade SP Scott Olsen to the Arizona D'Backs for C Miguel Montero.

3. Trade 3B Miguel Cabrera and RP Logan Kensing to the Los Angeles Dodgers for OF Matt Kemp, SP Chad Billingsley, RP Yhuency Brazoban, 1B James Loney, and 3B Andy LaRoche.

4. Trade 1B Mike Jacobs and IF Robert Andino to the Toronto Blue Jays for SP Gustavo Chacin.

5. Sign SP Jae Wong Seo, RP Chin-Hui Tsao, RP Chris Reitsma, OF Jose Cruz, and C Humberto Cota to minor league contracts with Spring Training invitations.

 

After all the above moves, here is how I see our lineup and rotation.
