October 23, 200322 yr I've never been so excited and nervous about a game in my short life! After last night, I wonder who's going to step up tonight. We could beat David Wells' fat a** and it's not automatic, but we have to be the favorites tonight. All ANY of the analyst say is this will be a battle of the bullpen and I hope it's not true because Penny never goes many innings in the first place but depending on who starts Saturday, Redman or Willis can come out the bullpen.
October 23, 200322 yr What a great game man, i'm just glad Penny is up tonight and im sure he'll come up big for us. Looper definetley came up huge for us tonight and we cant overlook that. GREAT GAME ! GO FISH!!!
October 23, 200322 yr Author I was happy to see two guys who have been struggling come up so big last night. What a great ending to a great game.
October 23, 200322 yr It really couldn't happen to anyone better . . . Looper and AGonz! They needed that!!! But we CAN'T win tonight! After all, Wells does have a rubber arm!!!!
October 23, 200322 yr everyday someone else is stepping up for us whether its offensively or defensivle, Juan Pierre nd Castillo (which is struggling) didnt do much last night and we still won which is incredible....this just comes to show you that we can win anyday, anywhere, anyhow!!! ANYDAY, ANYWHERE, ANYHOW !!!! GO FISH !!!!
October 23, 200322 yr I predict that Pierre and Castillo will each go six for six on bunts down the first base line. Fatass Wells leaning towards third base after each pitch and slowass Giambi on first. This could be really funny to watch.
October 23, 200322 yr Don't forget to give props to the other most hated man on this board, Mr. Dlee. Yeah, he struck out when it was on the line (again) but he did come through with a big hit earlier in the game. I felt nauseated when Looper came in last night, I'll admit it. But I was pulling for the guy harder than I've pulled for anybody before. He came through like a champ and god bless him for it. Same with agon, same with Dlee. Great game fellas, keep it up.
October 23, 200322 yr This is what has gotten my attention this year. I have never seen a team like the Marlins before. Last World Series were a drag... But this time it is the Overstated Yankees vs. the widely understated Marlins.... I almost ate my heart out last night, I have never felt this way before and now I understand why Men are so caught up in sports... The Marlins did that for me... I have cried when they lost and bursted into happiness with their wins... I do not care what all those a**hole sports casters say... The Marlins have everything you need to win... That is heart. The Marlins have Superstars in the making with Cabrera, Dontrelle and Josh.... Plus the guys that nobody wanted but all of a sudden are hot ticket with Pudge, Lowell and Conine (Conine is great; got a hit almost every time). The Yankees may have all the money in the world to buy God for a pitcher, but they lack the heart and the never quit attitude of the Marlins... I think I've fallen in love with Baseball and the Marlins... May God Help us all!
October 23, 200322 yr I have to add that I wanted to kill Urbina with my own hands.... He has been so good and he comes and does this.... Nevertheless, I still think the guy is a great closer and he will redeem himself in a grandious way before we win or lose (canceled canceled) this series.
October 23, 200322 yr Odd how Urbina blows it and Loop brings it back. Never thought I'd see the day. Uggy WILL redeem himself. Pudge was really favoring that outside fastball and Ug just flat missed his spot. Happens to the best of them, just not top of the 9th in the world series.
October 23, 200322 yr I want six quality innings tonight. If the Yankees get men on in the sixth or seventh... I want one of my closers in the game. Use your luxuries.
October 23, 200322 yr Which team is Sammy referring to in your sig? The Marlins? Yep, that's who it was directed at.
October 23, 200322 yr Which team is Sammy referring to in your sig? The Marlins? Yep, that's who it was directed at. Thats cool...Almost makes me respect Sammy even though hes a cheater.
October 23, 200322 yr I have to add that I wanted to kill Urbina with my own hands.... He has been so good and he comes and does this.... It's been his MO in the playoffs. Had to get a great throw from Conine and catch/tag by Pudge in the Giants game. He blew the first Cubs game. Three games thus far. Would I still give the ball to Urbina again? Yes I would. Closers go through rough spots. I'm sure the next chance he gets he'll nail the door closed.
