Not sure if this is the place to post this or not, but I took a look around and didn't see an introduce yourself forum, so if there is one please feel free to move me there. :D

Anyway, howdy everyone. The name is Rob and I'm a Cubs fan...but I'm not here to troll. Rather, I'm here to talk Cubs baseball when our teams should meet later in the season (and maybe a little off topic stuff before then.)

So, feel free to consider me your personal Cubs fan whipping boy and have a nice day. :D

Welcome to the boards and may the Cubs rot in hell. :)

I like your siggy.

I guess now wouldn't be the best time to mention that my second favorite NFL team (after my beloved Bears, of course) is the Bills, would it? :lol

Jealous of your stadium, I bet its a real pleasure to watch a game at Wrigley. I also bet it was a real shame losing to us in game 7. welcome to the boards.

Yes, Wrigley Field is one of the most beautiful places in the world to watch a baseball game...but then again I'm probably biased. :p

If you ever get a chance to attend a game there, get there early. You can almost feel the ghosts of the players who have played there when it's only you and a few hundred other people walking around. It's awesome.

As for losing to you....game six was what killed me, not game seven. Being the Cubs fan I am I had pretty much written off winning game seven after the events of game six. I still have a small scar on my hand from where I put it through a door. :o :lol :

Where did your parents go wrong? :lol

Welcome to the site, I know it will be a pleasure discussing extending our win streak over the Cubs to 17 in a row.

Oh, and

:D

I don't think it can be totally blamed on my parents.

See, as a Cubs fan I have learned to 'expect the worst.' That, coupled with the fact that I hate the Dallas Cowboys almost made it my duty to adopt the Bills as my favorite AFC team.

Thankfully, they did not disappoint when it came to failure. :lol :

Wrigley Field is my dream sporting stadium to attend. Maybe 2008 will be the year when I get the chance to take a summer trip to Chi-town to see a game.

BTW, How could anybody possibly hate the Cubs? I mean come on! It's the freakin' Cubbies!

Well, if you were a Cardinal fan or a fan of another team in the NL Central I suppose I could see it, but meh, I'm used to catching all kinds of hell. ;)

BTW, how do you guys like my avatar? :lol We use a varation of it on another site, but I had them modify it to use it here.

Admin, if you like the looks of it feel free to use it on the forums for other 'noobs.' ;)

Hey Rob,

Hi from a fellow Illinois person. I am one of those who has "seen the light" for personal reasons. Go Marlins.

As a White Sox fan I feel for you Cubbie fans. Don't root against them but I grew up with the Sox. Nothing personal but I hope the Cubbies don't win it all this year so I can say they went 100 years between World Series. Just wait until you see rise again for the 3rd time & next time with a new stadium!!!!

Wasn't the 57 degrees nice today! Come over to the dark side (black & teal.)

I'm actually from a town called Mt. Vernon...about 280 miles south of Chicago. It was around 65 here today.

...and yes, it was absolutely beautiful. :D :cool
