ah, that kinda sucks - I guess I'll just tell him his best bet is to get there at 2 when the stadium opens and hang out by the dugout until the game starts.

I don't know but I hope a) no freaking rain and b) the stadium is open for marlins batting practice

yeah, I'll be keeping my fingers crossed

(the stadium is open for marlins batting practice ) their already did by time gate open mets most likely be doing batting practice

Sometimes the gates open early enough to see Marlins BP.

so he should be able to catch some of Mets BP if he gets there when the stadium opens?

Gates open: 2:30

Marlins BP: 2:00 - 2:50

Mets BP 2:50 - 3:30

Jeff Conine Ceremony: 3:55

batting practice

so openning gate earlyer and other game because when i go in other team is doing batting practice ???

Ive never gotten that. In my opinion, the home team should have BP open to fans twice during a 3 games series, and the away team once. If its a 4 game series, 2 and 2, and you get the point. Batting practice is away fan friendly with the way its now

I always thought the same thing. But it's not our stadium, and because of that it's not our security contractors. I would think that has alot to do with it.

1st of all...most stadiums are open for both BP (but some home teams like having the closed stadium for BP so they open later)...

I believe you are correct of it being a security thing...not our people = different hours and different rules.

Also, at some stadiums I have gotten there early enough to see the Marlins come in. Some players take the bus, but many take cabs or limos as well, especially during a series. Your best bet is to head to gate A early and/or after the game. There will be a TON of Mets' fans there, but id you get out of there early enough, you should be in good shape should one of the a-holes actually come over to sign. (did I say that out loud?)
