April 13, 200818 yr Obviously this is a difficult choice. I was surprised that Rabelo started tonight. I think Treanor's fine, but if Rabelo can throw out runners like he has tonight and play well defensively, still probably not as well as Treanor, his hitting ability beats Treanor.

April 13, 200818 yr I think they should split time so neither one gets too worn down. Treanor is the safer option right now IMO.
April 13, 200818 yr Both are backup catchers on good teams, gotta think they will split time equally to keep both fresh throughout the season. We need to keep our eyes open for a catching prospect though, hope we keep the phone line open with the Texas Rangers.
April 13, 200818 yr They are both good defensively. Rabelo looks to have the better arm and better bat. Treanor is an excellent handler of pitchers. We don't know Rabelo's effect on the pitchers yet. I believe Rabe;o should start more games as it may
