Cool.. Yea the hotel im staying at seems pretty close to everything.. Its the one posted on the 1st page.. We'll only be there for 3 full days.. I want to try and see as much as I can.. We'll be going to all 3 marlins game so it should be fun... Any suggestions on whats a must see there as far as monuments and stuff?

Thanks for all the info guys. We are going at the end of June but I am dying to go already. Any other help would be much appreciated. Any specific part of Nationals park that we should visit? There isn't much info out there about it because of how new it is.

We are planning on making the game on Saturday June 28th against the Orioles, it may be a big crowd of Oriole fans coming to see the new park won't it?

I don't have much to add except to say that the DC area is one of my favorite parts of the country. I've lived in South Florida my entire life, I am fairly well traveled and DC is one of the few places I would actually want to live in.

Most importantly: on the Metro escalators...stand on the right, walk on the left. If you don't follow this rule, you will piss people off.

 

Yes. We found that out qucikly. We went last summer and boy, oh boy- people can be downright mean up there. We didn't know and people didn't ask nicely, they were downright RUDE!

 

It would be nice to post a sign or two. It's not like I'm from Butcher Holler- I'm from Miami, Florida. We have no escalators here or mass transit system.

Yea, that's one thing that I remember very well about the escalators in DC. lol

 

I am excited. I have been to Union Station and liked it a lot. I remember Crystal City as well.

We bought our Nationals tickets today. We wanted to spend no more then 30 dollars a ticket. So after surveying our options we ended up on the 300 level. Section 307, Row A. $26.00 a ticket for those. So we are set as far as baseball is concerned, now we just need to look up some nice places to have a meal maybe and plan how we want to see everything.

I could have found you much cheaper tickets hehe, I got 30 pre after tax/convenience 7th row.

Well we looked around other places, including stub hub and this turned out to be the best deal. Stub hub charges extra fees and shipping like hell so we didn't go that route.
