estan ganando los marlins
According to my roommate, who is an absolute Mets freak and has an in in the organization, there are rumors circulating the front desk that an announcement may come today regarding the job of Willy Randolph. The future of his job is at jeopardy. Keep in mind, THESE ARE ONLY RUMORS!!! But I have reason to believe that my roommate as a source is credible (not very, but credible). Talk on MetsBlog is already starting. :mis2
Puma
Why would they fire him? What's the reason behind it? It makes no sense to me. I seriously doubt it's true. If it is, the Mets are idiots.
PitchingWinsGames
If it is, the Mets are idiots. That's my argument
FutureGM
Who's Willy Randolph? I hear there's a Willie Randolph coaching somewhere...  Seriously though, this seems a little unlikely. Maybe if they have a losing record in June...
Puma
The future of his job is at jeopardy. So he will be taking over for Alex Trebek?  Interesting :mis2

estan ganando los marlins
Yea I have heard nothing and he thought he was just being smart.... I told him that was idiotic and he was like 'NO!'. Whatever.
rxpro
Why would they fire him? What's the reason behind it? It makes no sense to me. I seriously doubt it's true. If it is, the Mets are idiots. sometimes you have to fire someone to light a fire under the guys, the mets are underachievers the last 2 years, and lack motivation ( not that they should need any) so if he gets fired so be it......... You don't fire a manager who has had two successful winning seasons, one of which he nearly went all the way in, to "light a fire under guys". Admin
His team could be in first place after tonight. Why would he be fired?
louiecastillo1
Not likely to happen anytime soon, but the rumors are swirling:Â http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/story/8094014?MSNHPHMA

Marlins97-03
It could be a rift with management? Sort of like Girardi?
furcalchick
i personally hope willie isn't fired, because that could mean the mets get a much better manger that wins the world series...we've seen it before. i would rather have willie there as long as possible, just stay as long as possible to underachieve instead of flat out fail.
