I was pretty sure that was only for public schools... now the comment I made was purely speculation, but I really cannot see most of the athletes there paid in full...i know they offer acidemic scholarships and fine arts scholarships.

Need based scholarships (aka academic/arts scholarships for kids who couldn't otherwise afford the school) to private schools are not illegal. Sometimes, at schools like Heritage (and the private school where I previously taught) it's tough to tell the difference when nearly every prominent athlete is on a need based scholarship. Some are legit, but some aren't. Whatever.

That was ridiculous, because it was 10 grand, plus uniforms and books, plus a mandatory "pledge", plus other "donations". In the end, it would all come down to 12 grand. If it wasn't for his ability to throw, he would have never gotten into that school.
