June 13, 200818 yr wouldnt this have been the perfect time to give dallas mcpherson a chance? i believe we still have 13 pitchers so we could sent one of them down and let dallas play DH some of the time during this 3 city interleague road-trip just a thought.......
June 13, 200818 yr We went through this earlier this year and he's not out of options. In fact, and I don't know how I missed it until just now, when the Marlins sent McPherson to AAA in March, they "optioned" him, and left him on the 40 man roster so he is eligible to join the team (just like Andino :banghead ) any time a roster spot opens up. I would caution though he did sign a split contract I think and who knows what the terms of it are?
June 13, 200818 yr it'd probably have been better to have Fredo at 3rd, Cantu at 1st, jake DHing, and normal OF construction

June 13, 200818 yr it'd probably have been better to have Fredo at 3rd, Cantu at 1st, jake DHing, and normal OF construction I actually like going with the normal outfield, Jake DHing, Cantu 1st, and Wes Helms at 3rd. That said, this does give us quiet a bit more defense in the outfield. Gonzo has been driving me crazy in LF turning long singles into doubles.
June 13, 200818 yr vs rhp Helms hasn't been that much of an advantage offensively over Amezaga, but there's a huge gap in their defense Helms season: .695 Career: .723 Alfredo Season: .709 Career: .695 if it was vs LHP I'd definitely agree though

I need to read more clearly, Sonnanstine bats left and pitches right. In that case, carry on.
