July 29, 200817 yr Im thinking about going to FIU after I finish my AA. What is everyone's opinions on the school? I can't find anything on the internet.
July 29, 200817 yr I had a chance to look at FIU, FAU, NSU and UM and I would put FIU third on the list, but still a good school. For the size I think it could have a few more things, but not a horrible choice overall.

July 30, 200817 yr The one thing i dislike about FIU are the lies and the fact that they dont give a sh*t about you... but I assume thats every school
July 30, 200817 yr I went to & graduated from FIU with both my Bachelor's & Master's degrees. I liked it because it was a smaller school and I didn't get lost in the shuffle.

I know one south florida school (NSU) is over 29,000 and yet class sized are about 25-30 kids.
July 31, 200817 yr Author I was wondering if there is any places around the school people would recommend on living? Apartments or anything?

He suggests you don't go there, as he seems to have something against this place. If living on campus at a school is not an option the school shouldn't be an option. The only thing I ever heard about FIU and FAU is that there is a high minority population, but I mean I have seen people at NSU and going to UM I can say that is everywhere in south florida. If it is really a problem for someone --- look at a midwest or northeast school

Also, it has the 27th highest enrollment in the country at 37,000. I think that's a good chunk.
