August 4, 200818 yr Anyone planning on going to the Watch Party on Wednesday at LuckyStrikes? Never been to one- are they a good time?
August 6, 200818 yr While I think these Watch Parts are a great idea...my personal problem with going to them is that, since I consider myself a pretty serious fan, I cant "watch" the game like I would at home... With an important game like tonight...Those of us who wanna watch our starters pitch counts, little nuiances like hitters working the count, and other details would have a hard time following that in a party atmosphere. I'm just speaking for myself but I can't be alone in this thought. I think a watch party is perfect for a casual fan to get interested, or if youre watching a less important game. I remember when JJ had his first start back, I told my friends that I would be going to the bar two hours late that night...they told me "they have TVs there"...I said I know, but I cant watch it the same...
August 6, 200818 yr Agreed. I wanna hit up one of those watch parties at lucky strikes one of these days.... but not for this game.

I agree. I watched both World Series alone at home for that reason. ( my wife says its because I'm a loser and I have no friends...she may have a point))

I don't have a clue what the watch party is, but I can say I agree with everything you just wrote. I can't concentrate and or enjoy the game at a party like atmosphere, maybe I am just weird who knows.
August 7, 200818 yr and now that the game has ended...that was the kind of loss that I should have watched at the Watch Party after 6 or 7 beers...
August 7, 200818 yr At least the people that went to the watch party got to stare at the Mermaids' asses.
