August 25, 200817 yr I am really pissed off right now. A.J. Pierzynski lunged at Willy Aybar during a pickle in the bottom of the 10th inning and took a flop, screaming "interference". The second-base umpire, who has been fooled by A.J. before, called interference on Aybar and awarded A.J. third base. I guarantee you, instant replay will not end at home run calls. That was bull, and now that A.J. believes he can get away with it, it will continue to go this way until instant replay is expanded.
August 25, 200817 yr Replay needs to be limited. I understand the push with the homerun calls and all, but you can't start using it for every call. Part of the game is the human factor. And while umpires certainly don't get it right all the time, they do a pretty damn good job. If we are going to review half the plays of a game (bang-bang plays, interpetation, etc.) we might as well just stop playing the game until the perfect system is developed to get everything right. Of course, Bobby Cox won't be able to get thrown out of games anymore (or Lou when he isn't drinking his Aquafina.)
August 26, 200817 yr Pulling off dirty tricks on the field every once and awhile is a time honored tradition in baseball. If you can get away with it, it's fair. Just ask this guy
August 26, 200817 yr It was goddamn horses*it I am trying to tell myself "we still took 2 out of 3 in Chicago" but we should of swept. Umpires beat us, not the White Sox and now after a loss and a day off, we get to face Roy Halladay.
August 26, 200817 yr Gayest sh*t Ever This Is y umps dont want instant replay they donmt wanna be proved wrong when there complete and total idiots o and Pierzinki is a joke to baseball
August 26, 200817 yr Gayest sh*t Ever This Is y umps dont want instant replay they donmt wanna be proved wrong when there complete and total idiots o and Pierzinki is a joke to baseball If you are going to be upset at anyone, be upset at the Ump. Pierzinski got away with it...good for him. It's no different then flopping in soccer or basketball. It's the players job to try and do everything they can to win the game. It's up to the refs to make the right calls. If they don't, then this type of thing will keep happening.
August 26, 200817 yr boy, i was really pissed after they called him safe and on the next play he scores the winning run. i think that ump (eddings) has something against the rays because he's the one who called upton out when they played against the angels. although i don't blame pierzynski because he just being a smart player. he gets a bad reputation but it's not his fault that umps are stupid and believe him, it's just like flopping in basketball, it's part of the game.
August 27, 200817 yr Author Looked clean to me. Shouldn't have touched the baserunner. You're jealous that we have a shot at the playoffs this year. :mischief lol j/k
