Anibal Sanchez

His trade value is zilch right now. With regard to how he eventually adjusts/recovers from the surgery, I really don't know what to think at this point. Obviously, I hope for the best but only time will tell. How could anyone not root for this guy? He's been through so much in such a short time.

Not sure about that. I remember hearing that Ani was the guy Colorado wanted for Fuentes.

Was this before he came back, cause i cant imagine many wanting him right now.

You make it sound as if he's been pathetic since he came back. He's shown the same promise he did before but obviously has tons of rust.

Im just sayin look at him before surgery and after and he hasnt shown much except for 1 start against STL where he was awsome. I want anibal

It's not about performance right now with Anibal, it's about potential.

All he's focused on this year is getting is arm back to where he'd like it to be, the velocity, being able to throw all his pitches.

I think his velocity is as high as he can expect. The control and such is giving him trouble.

Exactly, and his control is due to rust. He has to work back to being a great pitcher. He still shows all the potential and therefor has value.

Im guessing Anibal's struggles are magnified in some fans eyes due to the fact JJ has been in ace like form since he returned at roughly the same time.

I dont know a lot about the various injuries in baseball but from what Iv gathered Anibal's injury is much worse for a pitcher and hence it takes them longer to regain their previous control and form.

Am I right about that and is that why Anibal is more "rusty"???

I see Anibal as the 5th best starter of the 6 guys currently in the mix.

And what guys are those? I'm not saying you're wrong, but who?

I'll guess JJ, Nolasco, Miller, Volstad (not in that order), Anibal, Olsen (in that order)

Do u think the organisation will give Tucker more chances as a starter at the major league level?

OR

Do u think he will be used exclusively as a reliver in order to eventually groom him into the closer's role?

Ryan Tucker is now a reliever.

I'm not entirely sure he'll stay like that.

Barring injury, or the trade of 6 of the Marlins pitchers, he'll remain a reliever.

in my opinion.

I think that's about right but believe that the trade of Scott Olsen is on the way.

I certainly expect Olsen to be gone, but there still isn't room for Tucker. Besides, since his draft day, the rumours have always been that he would be a closer some day.

IMO

we would only trade 1 of the 6 guys we have now

if one of the 5 gets injured, I'd say Doug Waechter, Burke Badenhop, Dallas Trahern, hell I wouldn't be surprised if everybody's favorite Chris Seddon was ahead of Tucker for starting (although I think Seddon is a MILB FA at the end of the year, too lazy to double check). I think they have them focused on as a reliever

and while I mostly disagree with it because a guy has more value as a starter, if we have 4 very good starters already, having an ace in the bullpen would actually probably help us more then a 5th good starter, based off how bad our bullpen has been this year.
