Drafted as a third baseman, the 23-year-old lefthanded hitter has made strides at second base, where his work habits have made his average-at-best defensive tools play up. CF Mike Stanton ? Marlins With three representatives on this team, you know it was a good year for the Marlins down on the farm. Considering that it was his first full season, Stanton's performance might be most impressive of all. The 2007 second-round pick won the South Atlantic League's "power" triple crown, finishing first with 39 home runs, a .611 slugging percentage and 68 extra-base hits. He missed by two compiling the most total bases in the minors (286). Stanton derived a home run advantage from playing in Greensboro's cozy park, but the 18-year-old righthanded batter hit nearly twice as many doubles on the road, giving him a higher slugging mark away from home. Morrison is a little bit away, but Coughlen and Stanton both look ready to start in the majors, another major reason why i feel it is time to part ways with Hermida soon

September 6, 200817 yr atata baby Dim lol stanton has another 2 or 3 years in the minors and hopefully he dosent get injured and ups his avg and keeps his power because i want him up the day he turns 21
