Guess who is this guy?

Featured Replies

Try to guess the name of this player...

He had 209 AB .158 BA 256 OBP .249 SLG

This qualifies for the all-time worse offensive season numbers for any player to have over 200 AB

Need a Hint? About 3 or 4 seasons ago was considered the best player in baseball by quite a few...

Andruw Jones

Yay i actually knew it was Jones. Sucks that his age has effected his production that much, I feel somewhat of a bounceback year but overall he may be done

You've obviously never heard of Bill Bergen. He owns 6 of the 10 worst OPS and 5 of the 10 worst OPS+ (which is adjusted for league averages in the season) for any player to qualify for a batting title.

His 1909 season was the worst in baseball history, when he hit .139/.163/.156 in 372 Plate Appearances. That goes for a 1 OPS+, by far the worst for any fulltime player ever.

Don't think roids effected him?

you never know. He did look like he bulked up quite a bit during his Atlanta days, but I just can't make that assumption. He hasn't tested positive, so I can only assume that age is the reason for his declining numbers.

it certainly isn't age....

unless he has some weird disease that changes prime years to declining years.

:mis2 you would think...

Hes trying to knock every ball outta the Park trust me i was at 3 of his games live

He even misses in BP which is embaressing

He needs to get all his motion together because he dosen't look comfortable or have a smooth swing anymore

Plus he needs to stop chasing pitches in the dirt

Saddest part is that baseball video games still rate him in the high 80's

Also he needs to leave LA. They boo him like no other even when he makes an incredible catch when he comes up to bat the boo birds overwhelm him.

Go somewhere you can start in the OF Like Pitsburg or San Diego maybe even an AL Team like KC

Maybe he has fakeageitis, a disease known to affect more than a few Caribbean players.

It's an epidemic that must be stopped.
