March 4, 200917 yr Spring Training is HUGE. I mean, Alejandro De Aza is such a stud for us, as he shows in Spring Training; the relationship is undeniable. Bad example. De Aza has been injured almost all of the last two regular seasons. But if you can't find someone else to dump on that isn't a living God on these boards............. Front office and coaching staff are high on him for a reason. "But the stats show..." Bah. I've actually WATCHED him playing healthy and can see why they are so high on him. So have a lot of us... what's your point? What makes your subjective opinion any better than anyone else's?

March 4, 200917 yr Hmmph... I was gauging interest to actually see if Mystikol would want a bucket of water dumped on his head Only by you, PWG. .......or if it was exceptionally warm outside, or if I had a Chia Pet on my head. :blush Perhaps at some unspeakably hot summer afternoon game... where the stadium giveaways are Alfredo Amezaga Chia Pets...

Don't forget, no team in baseball claimed him either Why did they remove him from the 40 man? Because they could without losing him. He has options left, the Marlins could have pulled him back and done it the other way, no one was going to get him even if there was an interest so no one was going to waste the time and energy on a fools errand. If the Marlins truly had no use for him or saw no upside worth exploring they could of just cut him which they didn't. This isn't like Andino or McPherson (or the rest) who are out of options. For them it is play or perish. His situation is completely different.
March 4, 200917 yr I think that's being a tad naive. He wasn't claimed because he isn't an attractive option to any team out there.

He's always injured. A good example would be Jorge Cantu who followed up a ridiculous spring with a ridiculous comeback season last year.
