April 1, 200917 yr Howdy, On Saturday I shall be leaving the debt-addled and punk-kid-ruled shores of jolly old England for my annual two-weeks in Florida, with my family. I fly into New Ye-ork on Saturday evening then down to Miami Sunday morning. We have a small motel booked at Lauderdale-by-the-Sea - anyone know this area? Any tips? Things to do (aside from watching the Marlins! Already sorted, will be there opening day (second year running) v Nats + Saturday v Mets), esp for kids (mine are 11 and 7). Have a nice day!
April 3, 200917 yr I'm actually from there and my parents still live there. It's a nice community, very quiet and peaceful. It's right by the beach, so that's a plus for most people. As for things to do there, unfortunately I can't help you as I haven't been there in a while.
