April 12, 200917 yr Marlins activated infielder-outfielder Alferdo Amezaga from the 15-day disabled list. Amezaga was on the disabled list with a sprained left knee, but passed all tests this week and was able to play in a minor league rehab game Friday. He'll take over as the club's utility man. Marlins optioned infielder Andy Gonzalez to Triple-A New Orleans. Gonzalez didn't get an at-bat with the Marlins during his short stay. He was filling in for utility man Alfredo Amezaga, who was activated from the disabled list in a corresponding move. --- Hope Gonzalez likes that 5 game paycheck. Around 11 grand to hang out for a few days and not play. Not a bad week.

April 12, 200917 yr A bench of Amezega, Helms, Gload, Carroll, and Paulino really isn't that bad. Its just as good as Hollandsworth, Banks, Redmond, Mordecai, Harris.
