May 20, 200917 yr When there's a DH, how do they make sure everybody who went to game 1 is out before the let people in for game 2? I'm sure there plenty of places to hide. Like the bathroom stalls. I'll be surprised if they get both these games in. They'll probably get only 1 in with 4 hours of rain delays. They don't in this case, this isn't a day/night double header. If you have a ticket to one game, you get to go to both.
May 20, 200917 yr If you have a ticket to one game, you get to go to both. Like the good old days that many current fans rarely have the benefit of, thanks to the overpaid-players union. There's now no such thing as a scheduled DH absent a make-up game, and virtually never back-to-backers with 20/30 minutes between games. Used to go to a bunch of Twinkies double-headers. Back in the mid-'60s every team played 18 to 20 DHs/year, obviating the need to play the last 2 weeks of October. $1.00 (~$10 in today's dollars) for a general admission outfield bleacher seat for two games. The '60s Twinkies being much like the Marlins in that their crowds were usually pitiful, there was never a problem moving to prime infield boxes after a few innings. Blow an entire day at the ballpark. How can it get any better than that?

I never had the opportunity to go to MLB games back then. We didn't have any teams even remotely close enough to us. Which probably has alot to do with my attitude towards our lousy attendance numbers.
