  1. Why do Marlins fans hate Jeffrey Loria? I honestly have no idea. John Henry clearly wanted to leave, so Jeffrey took over. In his second year, he won a World Series by signing a high price free agent in Pudge Rodriguez. He pulled the right string mid-season by bringing in Jack McKeon. Some people think Loria pulled a Huizenga and had a fire sale (which he did have after 2005), but he gave the world championship team 2 more seasons to try to make the playoffs again and even gave it a shot by getting Carlos Delgado. As time went on and crowds got smaller and the team had less money, the franchise did the best they could with young players. Loria promised once he got a ballpark, he would spend money and he has. He did what 2 other owners couldn't and that is build a ballpark. I now it is controversial, but bottom line is he got it done and pretty much saved Major League Baseball in South Florida. Then he backed up his word and signed many high profile players this offseason. Also, Loria attends every game. He was often shown sitting behind home plate in his Marlins cap, no matter how long the rain delay was. I really think he wants his team to win. So why do people hate him? I don't. It is quite obvious that the Marlins are a better franchise now, then when he took over 1 stadium, 1 championship, 10 years ago. Also, Admin wrote his piece on this subject and here it is: http://www.marlinsbaseball.com/2012/01/in-defense-of-jeffrey-loria/
  2. Every single team in the NL East has a tremendous third baseman. Rank them. Here are the choices: - Chipper Jones, Atlanta Braves - Hanley Ramirez, Miami Marlins - David Wright, New York Mets - Placido Polanco, Philadelphia Phillies - Ryan Zimmerman, Washington Nationals Remember to take into account offense and defense. Or if you want rank the offense and defense seperate and be sure to note that.
  3. Only 8 Spring Training games will be televised. THU 3/8 1:10 PM @ NY METS - SNY SAT 3/10 1:05 PM vs. ST. The two Mets games and the Washington game are being played in New York and DC. Yes, but the SNY and MASN games are available to those that have DirecTV or other satellite providers. The WPIX game is not because that is a local New York station. All 3 of those games are available on MLB.tv.

  5. What will happen is all home pregame shows will be on site at Marlins Park and Jeff Conine will be the analyst. For all road games, the pregame show will originate from a studio and that is where Preston Wilson and Cliff Floyd will be the analysts. Are you specualting or do you know this for a fact? I am not positive, but it is what I have heard. The Rays today officially announced that their road pregame shows will come from a studio in Ft. Lauderdale. I also know officially that Conine is still a part of the broadcast team.

  8. Hey, just a statistical question here: If Holland gave up 5 runs, all earned, and his team scored 5 meaning that the 6th run was the deciding run, shouldn't Hunter get the loss because he gave up the 6th run?
