7/2 Post Game

Featured Replies

Marlins win, 9-5.

W: Cishek (1-1)

L: Holland (6-4)

2B: W Helms (5); L Morrison (15)

HR: H Ramirez 2 (7); L Morrison (11)

Offensive power house tonight! It was sweet!

I think Hanley is finally back, and it looks like the clean up spot is his forte.

Hand has never impressed me, bullpen was pretty sharp though.

Good win none the less, it's always nice to see a 9 spot put up.

I think the Hand Job has talent, just rushed up here is all.

Hey, just a statistical question here:

If Holland gave up 5 runs, all earned, and his team scored 5 meaning that the 6th run was the deciding run, shouldn't Hunter get the loss because he gave up the 6th run?

No, Texas never tied the game.

No....he left with his team losing and they never tied it up.

Not saying that Edwin was a bad manager I liked him a lot thought he made some great moves, but maybe he just wasn't right for this team.

Obviously June was a slump month so it might not have mattered regardless of who was at the helm, but I feel like Jack is getting more out of this team, probably helps having Hanley hitting again.

Idk, just noticing progress, I suppose it doesn't take a lot to notice considering how bad June went though.

Jack is more fun. He makes me laugh even when we lose.

On the field, the players are just doing better. I don't think the slump is on Edwin.

One major difference since Jack has been here = more bunting and running from Bonifacio. I'm a big fan of that. I've also said that Mujica should be the team's setup guy for awhile now, and that's what Jack has done, it seems. I hope he gives Cishek more of a chance after tonight.

Looks like Hand may not get another start.

I love Jack

“We just have to figure out who that fifth starter is. We can’t keep using the whole God-damned bullpen or giving away a game. I ain’t giving no damn game away. You saw me get Hand out of there didn’t you?’’ he said.

“You think I’m going to sit there and say — at this point, McKeon launches into a sing-song voice –‘Oh, we’ll develop him’? (then regular voice) I ain’t here to develop. I’m here to win.’’

:lol DAMN! I love that. The sing song voice sounds hilarious. I'd love to hear that interview lol

Also, great game for Hanley, save the error, but he made up for that immediately. Please, dear God, make him keep his swing solid for the rest of the year.

Clearly Hanley's offensive explosion is a result of his arriving on time for stretching. He also must have changed his attitude. I like him now.

Well clearly. That extra 15 minutes of him stretching out those creamy hamstrings and working his hot, tight buns contributed to him having a strong and powerful stick tonight.

I don't know about the stretching, but he's clearly doing better because he said "we" instead of referring to himself in third-person after the game. Totally.

I feel like there may be subtle sexual undertones in this post. Anyway, I'm going to go back to counting RBIs and worshiping my statue of David Eckstein.

Hardly subtle.
