we did soso on road we won one series lost other what your think how we going to do 4 vs mil 4 vs san fan 3 vs LS??? we need take one of series and we need rain go alway so wont have rain postpond game last homestand

We play Milwaukee, San Francisco, and St. Louis...all three have pretty good teams. It will probably be a tough home stand.

Also, I think a 3-3 roadtrip is more than 'so-so'. Anytime you go .500 on the road, you're doing something right.

Agreed. This will be a tough homestand, but you know how streaky we can get. I keep seeing sparks....the fires gotta start sooner or later right? In my book, as long as we're within a couple games at the break I think we've got a chance. The first half could have been better....but it could have been much worse too.

Boo we suuuuuck.

I'm calling it right now. we will finish the homestand 7-4.

We were one break here and one break there from sweeping the Mets, and despite the breaks not going our way, we still went 3-3 against the top two teams in our division. Not a bad road trip, could easily have been 5-1. Hopefully we make up for those missed wins by stealing a few wins this homestand.

By going 3-3 it put a stop to the freefall we were in and usually a 3-3 road trip against good teams would be a good trip so in a way this was good but on the other hand you need to beat the teams you're chasing and during the week we also lost ground in the standings to both the Phillies and Mets so in a way this was a bad trip. I guess it was so so trip.

That's the difference between mediocre teams and good teams. Getting those 'breaks'.

I don't know if the missed call on Beltran's "catch" could exactly be determined by the merit of a team. Sometimes you get those calls in your favor, sometimes they go against you. Since those things eventually seem to even out, maybe we'll start getting some favorable calls.

Also, I don't think "good teams" get broken bat hits to win a game in the 11th inning, again, that's just a ball that is usually a soft ground out or pop-up that happened to land in a good spot.

?im not happy that we went 3-3 on the road trip but im not mad ethier.we need to wake up and play well on this homestand i hope we can go 7-4 on this homestand but i see us going 6-5.

I would like to see some kind of win streak longer than two games, May so reminded me of last August where the team couldn't get it going and produce a win streak. 7-4 might be asking too much at this time 8-5 might not look good though I would take it :thumbup

You look to win series, but two of these are 4 game series. If we look to go 2-2 against the Brewers, 3-1 against the Giants and 2-1 against the Cardinals... it works out to be 7-4 homestand which is the number I was thinking of. Of course, there's also the fear of it going the other way and we end up having a 4-7 homestand.

On another note, June is a scary month. We play the entire American League East after this homestand before facing the Nationals at the end of the month. Yes, our next game against a fellow NL East team isn't until June 29th. This really could be a sink or swim month.
