Starting Pitchers getting better

Featured Replies

I'll tell you one thing, as far as Andrew Miller right now, I'll take him over Sanchez. And what West did tonight... only one game but wow. Our second half could be pretty strong.

Starting backwards with tonight:

8.0 IP 0 ER West

7.0 IP 2 ER Nolasco

5.2 IP 1 ER Miller

6.0 IP 2 ER Volstad

7.2 IP 2 ER JJ

4.1 IP 3 ER West

3.0 IP 1 ER Sanchez (*injury, Hopper relieved for 5.0 IP, 0 ER)

4.1 IP 3 ER Miller

7.0 IP 3 ER Volstad

7.0 IP 2 ER JJ

7.0 IP 1 ER West

5.0 IP 1 ER Badenhop

6.0 IP 2 ER Miller

6.2 IP 3 ER Volstad

7.0 IP 3 ER JJ

MiamiSportsGenerationI mean consistently on a year to year basis.

Fair enough.

What we both know is If he does pitch like he did last year, It will be a HUGE boost to our starting rotation.

And I hope he does.

Providing West keeps on pitching well than Anibal shoud go to the bullpen. Heck, I'd even rank Badenhop ahead of Sanchez in terms of who is most deserving of a rotation spot atm.

love this quote from west after last nights game:

"I try to throw a no-hitter every start," West said. "If a hit comes up, I try to throw a one-hitter. If two hits come up, I try to throw a two-hitter, and so on."
