Neo has a vision to go to the machine world, he realizes that they are not the threat, Smith is. he is the virus that will destroy everything, the matrix, zion, and the machine world. in his arival to the machine world, he makes peace with the machines, making them 2 call off their sentinels.

during the final fight scene, neo is lying on the floor and smith will finally finish hiim, but the oracle takes over and says" w/e has a beggining has an end"(she told neo that earlier in the movie) smith begins to panic, saying it isint fair, its not supposed to end like this. neo realizes what is happening, and does not fight back. the oracle morphs nreo into smith.

smith is a virus created in the matrix equation, he has an anmti-virus, which is neo. they are each othetrs equal. but what happends wen an anti virus is put in a virus?

yep, kaboom. smith morphed all the matrix prpograms into him, so the whole matrix was destroyed

What was Neo's, Morpheus, Trinity's and the others purpose as per the first movie?????? Liberate the humans that are trapped in those egg things in the Machine world and that live in the matrix as regular people like you and me.... Remember? What the hell happened to that? Since when the whole idea was to make peace with them? The Matrix was not destroyed, Neo actually helped them keep it the way it has always been... The machine world is still there thanks to Neo... Wow what a hero... f*** I am still lying in an egg and I don't even know it!

Listen, I loved the first movie so much, that I have watched it more than 10 times and I can tell you with absolute certainty, that they (the Wachowsky's) ruined their entire story by doing what everybody wanted them to do on the last two movies... Blow up things, make a huge fight scene with Smith and so far and so on... I am pretty sure they set the whole thing for a sequel, that is why they did not specify if Neo died or not and the people in Zion are still there and could still be going on liberating people from the Matrix....

The whole architect thing in the second movie was an "unfinished thought", who the hell is the Merovingian, who were the two ghosts that showed up in reloaded... Etc. It is like a whole mess of ideas that were never developed to fruition... Unless, and this is my make-my-self-feel-better theory: It was all an F'n dream and then Neo wakes up in the real world as we know it... Which would explain the collage of characters and ideas... Whatever, I still feel cheated! :banghead

Matrix 1 was good. Matrix 2 sucked. Matrix 3 REALLY SUCKED.

mind explaining why exactly the last two sucked? or is it just an opinion u have?

nothing can compare to the first movie. I can't possibly think of what other people wanted from it. The battle scene alone made that movie(although it was half of the whole movie). What I didn't like is the ending....it left everything too wide open. Did Neo die or not? Why would a machine keep its "word" about peace, knowing damn well it could crush the humans and be done with them. Whatever, I still loved all 3, just like I love all Star Wars movies. Because I don't watch them for the flaws, I just watch them.

Believe me! I never ever watch a movie with a critical eye... But this movie left me thinking they missed half the story on it! I loved the Matrix and I still can not understand why some people can get themselves to watch it. It is the only movie (along with Fight Club) that I can watch multiple times and never get tired. It is that Good... That is if you pay attention, because if you are the kind that does not like to be challenged to think... Forget it.. Go watch "too fast and too furious" or anything of the sort.....

Please tell me why you think the two last movies are good... Explanation please!

In my opinion i believe you didnt enjoy it cause maybe you didnt understand it? Or didnt wanna understand it cause your maybe disappointed by the ending? Or that Neo and Trinity die? Im sure it was one of those things or you just had really high expectations for this movie.

Not really... I actually thought it was very decent movie and better than reloaded... It did not bother me that Trinity or Neo died.... I did not have great expectations after Reloaded; I just wanted to see what was the point of the architect in the second movie... And heck yeah! I am disappointed by the ending. They forgot that the purpose of Neo, Trinity, Morpheus and the others was to liberate the poor idiots that are still lying in those eggs in the matrix providing energy to the machines???? Not to make peace with them and save their own asses?

never seen any of em either  lol just didn't interest me..sister is a big fan though lol but yeah I HEARD the 3rd one sucked.

Look, everyone really needs to stop bashing Matrix 2 and 3. They look at them on the surface, but they don't think about what's going on. If you paid attention to the beginning of Revolutions, and the conversation between Neo and the Indian guy, you will notice something. The guy (really a program) talks about the fact that machines want to be able to feel love. In reality, the machines desire to become more human, but are unable to yet. The One is used by the machines to get closer to feeling love. All in all, it's complicated.

As for my feelings about the movies:

Matrix 1: Instant classic. Everyone should see at least this one.

Matrix 2: Not given enough credit. People were confused by the Merovingian and the Architect's conversations. Listen closely to the Architect, and you'll actually learn a lot about the machines. Overall, not a bad setup movie for the finale. However, I find it odd that the Twins don't survive the Freeway Chase. They are programs, after all.

Matrix 3: Incredible battle scenes. The best that have ever been put on film. However, the ending is way too open. Rather than end the saga like they were supposed to, the directors leave the movie open for more. All the sacrifice throughout the trilogy just produces a truce. Seems like a waste to me. I suppose the directors thought that the ending would be too predictable to have the machines fall, and the humans win. I still think that this would have been the best option. TOO MANY LOOSE ENDS.

EXPECT SEQUELS.
