Did anyone like "Matrix Revolutions"? *SPOILERS*

Featured Replies

I am sorry, but I think the Wachowski brothers totallyn f**** it up! Anyone who ever saw the first movie and loved it, is feeling cheated and angered right now. Reloaded and Revolutions are like two completely different movies. At the end of Revolutions, everybody is so happy because Neo finally did it, they have made peace with the Machines! Bravo Bravo! But didn't you forget something? I thought the whole purpose of fighting the machines was to liberate humanity from them, not to make peace with them and keep Zion safe.

For those who have short memory. In the first Matrix, Morpheus is this firm believer in what Neo could do and he liberated him from the Matrix for that reason. In the last two movies, not only has Morpheus become a total puzz... but now he is not as strong a believer as he was. Niobe is stronger than him! Then we do not see them going into the Matrix and liberating more humans as the last scene of the first movie promised.

What the hell did they think? maybe they thought we were so stupid that we would totally forget about it? Or maybe they just had so many ideas and got lost in them? I don't know, but anyone can please help me understand why would they f*** it up this way? :banghead

I am officially going to forget that Reloaded and Revolutions were ever made!

thanks for ruining it for me....

actually, never saw any of them, and never will :lol

I don't know much about Matrix. But I didn't like Revolutions as much as Reloaded or the first one.

The first Matrix was classic.

I know. I don't think they will ever be able to match it. However, my point is: what the hell happened to the story on the second and third movie??? I guess they just wanted to make some of the money they did not get for the first one, but why ruin it this way?

Why? didnt find it too fascinating from the previews

i didnt watch the 1st matrix until July because my friend would always be trying to get me to watch it. it was a great movie. i still have to rent reloaded...if i still feel like it after this thread

nothing can compare to the first movie. I can't possibly think of what other people wanted from it. The battle scene alone made that movie(although it was half of the whole movie). What I didn't like is the ending....it left everything too wide open. Did Neo die or not? Why would a machine keep its "word" about peace, knowing damn well it could crush the humans and be done with them. Whatever, I still loved all 3, just like I love all Star Wars movies. Because I don't watch them for the flaws, I just watch them.

Ok well im a somewhat big fan of the matrix. by that i mean im not a freak about it, but im not ignorant about it. Ive been explained the story then figured stuff out along the way while watching all three movies. Here is my opinions on the first three through a rating system (1 being the lowest 5 the highest):

-The Matrix 4 1/2

-The Matrix Reloaded 3

-The Matrix Revolutions 4

LCyberlina: I dont see how you cannot like matrix revolutions. Its the ultimate end to a great trilogy. In my opinion i believe you didnt enjoy it cause maybe you didnt understand it? Or didnt wanna understand it cause your maybe disappointed by the ending? Or that Neo and Trinity die? Im sure it was one of those things or you just had really high expectations for this movie.

Think of it this way. Revolutions isnt supposed to be a NEW movie which expands the story, it starts right where Reloaded ended.

If you look back to Reloaded the "architect" mentioned that there were many "ONES" like neo before him and all did more or less the same thing hes doing (or did at the end of revolutions). The only difference is that he was in love though trinity ends up dead anyways. Also did you pay attention to the ending in revolutions? The oracle and architect meet and the architect asks two things which relate to reloaded and makes alot of sense "How long will this peace last" and "how long can we continue this". hes refering to how many more wars are there going to be? how many more times will zion be destroyed? How many more "ones"? ya kno it all made sense. just gotta take it for wut it is and enjoy it.

i thought it was an excellent movie. better than reloaded but then again i felt that it was still reloaded cause they meld together. i felt that revolutions was reloaded 1/2 instead of a third movie.

i wouldnt be surprised that the matrix continues on w/ maybe other movies or through other medias...

actually, never saw any of them,

So I am not the only one,eh? :mischief2

obviously, u guys know few about the matrix.

Lemme splain

Neo has a vision to go to the machine world, he realizes that they are not the threat, Smith is. he is the virus that will destroy everything, the matrix, zion, and the machine world. in his arival to the machine world, he makes peace with the machines, making them 2 call off their sentinels.

lemme splain the oracle and her choice

she knows everything that will hapen in the futrure. She knows smith is coming to morph her, so she chooses to stay and get morphed, hence smith saying" if u knew i was coming, yd u stay?" she knows becomes the leader of the smiths.

during the final fight scene, neo is lying on the floor and smith will finally finish hiim, but the oracle takes over and says" w/e has a beggining has an end"(she told neo that earlier in the movie) smith begins to panic, saying it isint fair, its not supposed to end like this. neo realizes what is happening, and does not fight back. the oracle morphs nreo into smith.

smith is a virus created in the matrix equation, he has an anmti-virus, which is neo. they are each othetrs equal. but what happends wen an anti virus is put in a virus?

yep, kaboom. smith morphed all the matrix prpograms into him, so the whole matrix was destroyed

yep, kaboom. smith morphed all the matrix prpograms into him, so the whole matrix was destroyed...again, it left too much at the end open. However, it makes good conversation.

I don't think so. The smith program was destroyed, not the matrix. If that was the case, how was the oracle & the architect speaking in what appeared to be the matrix?

6th versiowas destroyed

they were speaking of the 7th version, which is composed of neo himself

hence the oracle saying well see him again

but definetly, no more sequels

maybew,MAYBE, a prequel like animatrix crap

actually, never saw any of them,

So I am not the only one,eh? :mischief2 Nope, I'm on that list too. Never seen any of them, never will, have no need too. I'm not big on special effects or sci-fi movies. Heck, I don't remember seeing any of the Star Wars movies. I know I watched the original ones when I was a kid, but I don't remember them and will probably never see them again.

Wow i actually enjoyed the Animatrix as a whole more than Revolutions and Reloaded. But i like that kind if Shyt so maybe its just me. Especially the 2nd renaissance.

Anyways, I thought the ending of Revolutions could've been a little more complete, especially if this was supposed to be the last movie, like they said it was. There are way too many unanswered questions for this to be the final movie. Other than that the movie was good.

I actually loved Revolutions. Sure it sucked at the end end, but overall the movie was really good IMO. :thumbup

Better than Reloaded, but Reloaded was necessary to set this one up. :)
