July 29, 200917 yr Hey Guys, Im new here, Ive been on the MLB forums. But I'll to be posting here from now on. My question is when do you guys expect them to call Maybin back up? I mean he's been lighting up AAA, and this Hermida crap has go to stop. Let me know what you guys think?

I'm not sure they really care about that though. But it is notable to say they would be committing to him an extra $2-3 million in 2012 if they feel the need to call him up in the next 3-4 weeks. Kind of an expensive decision right there.

Kind of an expensive decision right there. I think if the team feels like he is going to contribute to our still solid playoff chances, the money thing will go out the window. If it's not related to the departure of one of our current outfielders, I don't know what will precipitate his getting called up, but I will have to assume that the team cares more about making the playoffs. Besides, the team knows it can always give away starting players in 2012 if we need to shave away a couple million. I still think there is a very good chance that an outfielder could be on the way out of here. And depending on what position (or pitcher) that player is, the team may be hoping that Maybin is going to be able to fill the void. We're going to know in a few days I guess.

I think he should have been up here in 2008 september so it only sucks in retrospect the 2007 september is the one to be going wtf at joy tigers
