August 1, 200917 yr As pinch hitters: Gload: .279 (12 for 43) Helms: .387 (12 for 31) If anyone knows the league average its gotta be pushing mendoza. Anyway, great great guys to have on the bench. What a luxury. So yea, props to those guys.
August 1, 200917 yr League average PH: .225/.315/.359 Marlins average PH: .255/.348/.390 Wes Helsm PH: .387/.472/.484 Ross Gload PH: .279/.373/.395 I think it's easy to say we've got a huge advantage and luxury here.
August 1, 200917 yr Author Helms hit. .317 as a PH last year and .311 when he was with us in '06. I think its safe to say the only way he's leaving this team in the future is if he stumbles in to a starting job somewhere or retires because we'll have to ride him out on a rail. lol.. fine by me. I hope he's here for a long time.
August 1, 200917 yr Yeah that's pretty interesting how he's consistently had such success as a pinch hitter... but can't hit for squat when he's in the lineup.
