August 18, 200915 yr I'm glad this happened right before our 3 game series against Houston. He can be an offensive threat when he wants to be.

August 18, 200915 yr nice trade for the rangers. they have a solid offense and surprisingly their pitching has been good this season. the astros fell out of the wild card race so trading pudge was a good move for them as well
August 18, 200915 yr Nolan Ryan seems to have really turned things around in terms of pitching for the rangers. I remember earlier in ST he was getting laughed at on here for saying the he wasn't gonna baby his pitchers and he was gonna make them throw and not just give up after 100 pitches.

You think that for the last couple years, when he's been hitting like absolute sh*t, it's because he didn't want to be an offensive threat? He's not good at all anymore. He's Bonifacio with no speed.

He was getting laughed at for saying he wanted a 4 man rotation, which would have been the dumbest thing ever with those pitchers.
