November 13, 200322 yr It seems like every weekend there has been a signing with one or more of the marlin players. Anyone know of anymore upcoming ones. I heard Josh is doing one sometime in December and that Dontrelle is doing a private one on Nov. 19th, but I was wondering if there are any more? November 14, 200322 yr Author Here's some more info: THE FALLS Marlins' Conine joins parade The Falls shopping center will once again start the holiday season in South Florida with its annual ''Miracle on 136th Street'' parade benefiting Make-A-Wish Foundation of Southern Florida. The parade is at 4:30 p.m. Saturday. The grand marshal of the parade will be Florida Marlins hero Jeff Conine, who will be joined by Santa and a major cast, including State Rep. and former South Miami Mayor Julio Robaina, Miami-Dade Commissioner Katy Sorenson, Pinecrest Mayor Evelyn Greer, marching bands from Homestead and Coral Reef high schools and Cutler Ridge Middle, along with a bagpipe and drum corp. Costumed characters putting in an appearance include Bugs Bunny, Sylvester, Tweety, Angelica and Chuckie of Rugrats, Carlton Bear, Scooby-Doo and others. The parade is free and open to the public. Sponsors are Pepsi, United Healthcare, Publix Supermarkets, Procter & Gamble, Calder Race Course, Avis, Coral Gables Lincoln Mercury, Dadeland Chevrolet and Brickell Motors. After his arrival, Santa will make his headquarters in The Fall's Santa House, sponsored by Herald.com, set within the ``Peaceful Kingdom in Center Court.'' The parade route will start at the east end of the center in front of Bloomingdale's and go west to Macy's. All proceeds will benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Southern Florida. November 17, 200322 yr The parade at The Falls was great - looked like Conine had a good time riding as Grand Marshall. Did anyone see him afterwards? Kinda funny - people stated chanting "Let's Go Marlins Let's Go" when the float bearing our buddy Katy Sorenson went by. She didn't even look over.
