February 2, 201016 yr I have just read that Travis Buck is pretty upset that the A's keep bringing in outfielders pushing him further down the depth chart. With that in mind would you trade Rick VandenHurk for him? I'm just throwing this out there as I have not read it anywhere.

February 3, 201016 yr We have limited starting pitching depth, albeit at upper levels, and we have a lot to look forward to in the outfield in the future. There's no way I'd trade a pitcher that we could use in either the rotation or eventually in the back end of the bullpen for an underahiever in the outfield.

I still think Buck has a nice little upside despite his struggles the last couple of years. He wasn't given consistent at bats and that is always hard for a young player to get into a groove that way.

February 3, 201016 yr I think the Marlins are a little worried about Maybin's shoulder. Yeah, I saw that someone said they might be, but that won't be for most of the season (unless there's a setback, obviously).

It would be stupid of the Marlins to trade Andrew Miller for Travis Buck. I don't think he meant to trade Miller for Buck. He just wants to get Miller out of town. I think they need to give him a little more time. Sometimes lefties for some reason need a little longer to develop. I'm sure the Expos wish they had held onto Randy Johnson a little longer.
