Btw, I'm going to have to agree with Nny. It's time for Rich Waltz to gain some knowledge, and come to accept the fact that Leo Nunez best pitch is his changeup. And it isn't even close.

Last start it was Stanton who made a terrific catch to save runs (and the win) at the top of the wall off Harens shot and tonight it was Cody who made a great catch to save runs in deep center off Giambis blast. Ricky is one lucky dude. Good win for the Marlins who actually scored runs.

Stanton made a very nice catch as well before Cody's play in that inning. But Nolasco is pitching a lot better. Nice to see him striking out hitters again.

It had offense, it had some good defense (great catches by Cody and Stanton), and Ricky pitched pretty well and we won! So overall, a good game! But it still worries me when the marlins seem to score some runs early on and they just settle in and stop. Even with a 5-0 lead you can't just stop scoring runs and think you're safe. Marlins need to keep adding on. But I won't complain..we won

I keep wondering as I have for some time whether (regardless of Ross being here or not, more as a looksee) Stanton can play a major league centerfield? Part of me thinks he's still growing (physically) and may have only a short window at the position even if he can play it right now (ala Miggy starting at SS and winding up at 1B) it might be an interesting summer experiment.
