March 18, 201115 yr Luis Castillo was released by the New York Mets today In releasing him, the Mets absorbed the $6 million remaining on the four-year, $25 million contract Castillo signed prior to the 2008 season. Even if the second baseman signs with another team, the Mets will be on the hook for that money.
March 31, 201115 yr He's back on the market. :confused Hate to watch the end or near end of someone's career.
