Now I know this may sound like what the failed project the Phillies did a couple years ago but why not consider playing Dobbs more often at 3rd?...He's had a much better spring than Helms/Murphy/Boni combined...plus he would be another lefty bat in the line-up...the only real issue I see is that we would need to add another lefty bat on the bench but isnt that why we're letting Baker bat while his arm heals?...Thoughts?

Dobbs is fine with the bat but he just isnt a standout offensively or defensively to be an everyday starter. He's good enough to make this team but his best use to us is likely off the bench. Especially being a lefty and with Helms' pinch hit struggles lately.

You just gotta work to a player's strengths. And I think Dobbs is best as a spot starter who is usually our lefty pinch hit bat. If we don't have outside options, I'd rather have Murphy start and keep Dobbs as a secret weapon on the bench.

I say keep Dobbs and shoot Bonifacio, but that's just me :thumbup

Seriously, I like that Dobbs is a lefty bat that can play the corners, he has had a great spring and I would much rather run him out there than a Boni/Murphy platoon
