Vazquez placed on bereavement list

Tell me if you've got another option that could potentially last through September.

Me. Or you.

I bet neither one of your arms are stretched out enough to start every 5 days for the next 4 months.

I'm sure I was just joking...

Either way, the answer to the question is basically "anyone in the minor leagues, at the moment."

I know. I like respond to obvious jokes with serious answers. I find it funny. Calm down.

Well to respond to your original post, which was going to be my response to Erick's post...

I suffer from extremely bad tendinitis in my right shoulder and have ever since I was about 15. Despite numerous cortisone shots, it always re-aggravates itself. So count me out.

And on the serious Erick post... they wont last through September.

Same can be said for Javy Vazquez.

Right but I think a combination of using Javy until a certain point and then using whoever else the rest of the way is the best compromise.

WASHINGTON -- The Marlins reinstated right-hander Javier Vazquez from the Bereavement List Friday, and he expects to make his scheduled start Sunday afternoon against the Nationals.

A member of his wife's family died, and Vazquez got the call from his sister-in-law late Sunday night. He went back home to Puerto Rico for a few days to support the family, but also worked out and threw while down there.

He also was planning on throwing a short bullpen session on Friday to prepare for Sunday's start.

He's baaaaaaaaaaack.
