PBCMarlinsFan
the Tigers have everything going for them except for having the worst bullpen ERA in the AL. make some magic happen, you baseball wizard! Joaquin Benoit turning out to be a real dud didn't help. Despite their bullpen woes, I think the Tigers can pull the AL Central with the competition they have. Rabbethan
their most effective relief pitcher is named Al Albuquerque. that's definitely on my short list for 'best baseball names ever' It's actually Al Alburquerque, with the extra 'r' for extra confusion. I'm sad to find out that he's never pitched in the PCL, so he's never played in Albuquerque. Also, sadly, there is no Albuquerque in Alabama. fanofthefish
The Benoit failure and the annual Zumaya injury have the Tigers at a disadvantage for sure. I'm not sure if the TIgers have enough depth in the farm system to replace these, but if Dombrowski sees the Tigers as buyers look for him to make a move.
