"Moneyball" Is a Garbage Hollywood Misrepresentation

Featured Replies

I didn't see the movie but i watched the trailer. So... did they end up getting Cespedes?

Oddly enough for a very large contract.

I watched about 20 minutes, didn't like it, and stopped watching, so i don't know how much the fudged the facts but if they did I don't understand why they would do it.

Because if they went strictly by the facts, the movie would only be interesting to A's fans. It was a pretty good movie. Get over yourself.

I thought you'd hate it.

It will never make a top 10 list for me or ever be considered a classic, but I found it to be pretty entertaining. I don't think I wasted my time watching it.

Another movie that we bought at about the same time that was "based on a true story" was Red Tails. I didn't put that in thinking it was a documentary and I found it to be very entertaining. But then that list would be a very long one.

This is a sports movie that I could watch with my wife and for one moment she could understand that my joy of watching sports partially comes from realizing that there are human beings both on the field and off who have to face similar pressures to those in normal jobs except with more intense scrutiny.

This movie was as much about the struggles of going against the grain as it was about sports.

He likes the movie because he made a cameo appearance as the scout who didn't know who Fabio was.

This induced a hearty chuckle that emanated from deep within my bosom. Thank you.

I thought the beginning was one of the most interesting parts, all the dramatized behind the scenes scenes. What didnt you like about it? I mean for a baseball movie, something your obviously would be interested in, I don't feel 20 minutes of the movie could give you enough time to form an accurate opinion.

It's not like your watching date movie or epic movie or some junk like that.

I don't think the A's scouts were the retards they were portrayed to be.

Ugly girlfriend means no confidence.

Most of that dialogue was verbatim from the book.
