I checked the old game logs and noticed an interesting fact:

 

Since Pierre was promoted to leadoff hitter on April 9th, he's gotten on base to start a game only ONCE (and that was a week and a half ago, on April 11th). Meanwhile Castillo has gotten on base several times hitting 2nd right after him. That's about a .083 OBP for Pierre's first AB...not so good. thoughts?

In other news... Braves are pounding on Duckworth and the Phillies.. 4-0 Braves Top 2nd..

this umpire is squeezing beckett. i've seen him call for a ball the same pitch he called a strike for glavine.

hopefully beckett can start being more economical....our bullpen is tired!
