January 1, 201313 yr I was reading an article today about the new state laws that go into place starting tomorrow. Buried in the traffic laws is a provision authorizing the DMV to issue specialty drivers licenses featuring Florida's universities, professional sports teams and non-profits. Like the specialty license plates, half the additional $25 fee goes to the state and the other half goes to the organization. I don't know when they'll actually be available or if the Marlins will be one of the teams represented, but I hadn't heard anything about this before today, so I wanted to give everyone a heads up, especially those of you who are due for a renewal this year.
January 1, 201313 yr That's really friggin cool. Any link to maybe a image of the license's or the link to the story?
January 1, 201313 yr Author There's scant info out there on this, no images as of yet. Info is in the middle of the article. http://www.cfnews13.com/content/news/cfnews13/news/article.html/content/news/articles/cfn/2012/12/31/headlight_flashing_w.html I'm pretty excited to get one of these and add it to my Marlins tag I've had since my first car in '96.
January 1, 201313 yr that would be rather intriguing alas i leave the state for good in a couple weeks.
