OK, that explains that.

See, I don't have a phone (other than a standard hard-wired copper land-line) or other mobile device, never have and never will because I refuse to let any phone rule my life or any portion of it.

I spent many years on phones doing business. I don't have to do that anymore.

I also refuse to provide any personal information to Google or anyone else. I couldn't give a crap less about Facebook or any other "social media." I don't tweet sh!t.

Which makes me a crusty old-fart, right?

Yup, but I started writing code in 1967, before most of you here were born. My high school had a paper-tape teletype terminal hook-up to a Pillsbury mainframe computer -- which probably had less power than what sits routinely on everyones desk today. And about 6 of us who gave a sh!t about it. I started building my own CPUs from parts in the mid-'80s. Code that I wrote in the '80s enabled me to retire 20 years ago.

Now, I watch Marlins games on a 60" and don't want to bother consulting some on-line schedule to determine when a game starts, so I reduce it to a few lines that can be kept in any text file.

I won't bother with this next year.
