Cabrera to play in Venezuela

Featured Replies

Looks like the FO has reversed their position and have granted Cabs permission to play in the Venezuelan winter league. I'm sure they wouldn't have done so if they weren't comfortable with the political situation.

Sounds like a good move... keep him happy....keep him sharp for the start of spring training.

From the Miami Herald:

? The Marlins have given outfielder Miguel Cabrera permission to begin playing winter ball in his native Venezuela next weekend.

I just went to the Venezuelan Baseball league site, and Miguel was given permission to start on december 15. However, he wants to start as soon as possible. So he and the Tigres (his team over there) is working on that.

Why the dec/15? no idea

Choi still hasnt played in the V League right?

i mean, since he went back home
