Haven't watched, is he waking everybody then getting gidp?

I don't there there's been a DP actually. There were 2 botched ones a few innings ago.

It's amazing he only gave up 1 ER.

I think Eovaldi and Alvarez are better starters than Turner. Every start is shaky with Turner.

Should remember Turner is only 22. Most guys are in the minors at this age.

Turner's stuff just isn't that impressive.

I have no faith in Alvarez being successful for long stints as a starter. The line drive rate is too high off of him - last I saw it was right around 30%.

Albeit, Turner is giving up a lot of liners, but I haven't looked up his LD%.

EDIT - it's 18.2%. Anyways - Alvarez has the one advantage of being less wild, I'll say that. IDK what's up with Turner. Sometimes he'll give you outings like his complete game against San Diego, other times he gives you what he did today.

Eovaldi really impressed me his last start.

Turner really needs to get that BB rate down if he's going to be successful

18% LD and 45% GB

Yeah, his stuff isn't that great, but wasn't he a guy that was supposed to have really good command? Never really shows it consistently. I mean, he generally seems to compensate well enough, or just has great luck. I feel like Eovaldi had a way higher upside.

HA's LD rate has been better of late hasn't it? His FIP is actually lower than his era (good sign)

I have a feeling that's helped out MAJORLY by the fact that he's given up only one homer.

EDIT - oh yeah. Formula from Fangraphs:

FIP = ((13*HR)+(3*(BB+HBP))-(2*K))/IP + constant

13*Homer ... yeah.

XFIP 3.74 which is still respectable. His 24% (with a 2% HR/FB rate lol) FB rate is a big reason for lack of dongers as well

His line drive rate has gone down a bit now that I see it, yeah. 25.9 - still kinda high, though, isn't it? What's a good number, usually, for LD%?

Also, what exactly is the "constant" for FIP? lol

EDIT - his SIERA says he's below average! :lol

omg you know that thing where the guy goes to second on one hit? WELL THE MARLINS JUST GOT ONE

That's not possible.
