Nope. if he can ever get that BB rate he might be useful

There's always next year

Ah yes, your motto for every bad baseball player on this team :p

As it should be IMO. These guys made it here somehow.. we should all be rooting for improvement. Especially from a guy like Turner, where the possibilities are very promising.

Well some of them are here because of lack of vision from the FO and the fact that the FO is too cheap/stupid to get anyone else. The clearest example is Adeiny Hechavarria who has no business being a starting SS on a major league team.

As far as Turner, I seriously doubt he'll ever be better than a 4/5 SP. I'm not quite sure what possibilities you find so promising about him: low k rate, high BB rate, low 90s fastball that he can't locate

He showed SOME promise last year when he first came back up, but that's about it.

He used to be a highly ranked prospect, the stats never jumped out to me as to WHY he got that ranking, but, *shrug*.

I just checked out his velocity chart for 2013 and it was actually significantly higher in his first 8 mlb starts. it drops off a fair amount after that. Fatigue maybe (He pitched over 170 innings which was highest in his career but only like 10 more than the previous year)?

Turner has better stuff than some of you guys seem to think. Might not look all that great at first look, but he throws some pitches that have some deceiving movement...

He passes the "eye test" just like Adeiny eh?

My eyes see a guy who can't locate his mediocre pitches and who's HR/9 was severely deflated because of Marlins park (gave up 2 HR at home and 9 on the road). He'll be lucky to have a sub 4.75 ERA next year

You're absolutely right, he needs to fix the command issues. If he doesn't, all the potential in the world won't matter, especially because he doesn't have the stuff of a Nathan Eovaldi to kind of get away with being wildly effective. But if he can get the control (he is still REALLY young) then you could have something special.
