Posted December 6, 201311 yr Rough draw for the US. They're a huge underdog but that's where they like to be. Excited for the games to begin.
December 6, 201311 yr At least they'll be interesting games to watch. If you want to progress, you're going to have to beat a "big team" sooner or later so get them early in the tournament. Spain lost 1-0 to Switzerland in their opening game of the 2010 World Cup, but still won the entire competition. The USA aren't going to do that, but they could still surprise Germany or Portugal. I'm looking forward to Spain-Netherlands (2010 Final rematch), Uruguay-England and Germany-USA.
December 15, 201311 yr I actually had tickets to 5 games at the Maracana in Rio however decided against going as the cost overall for the trip was going to be ridiculous.
June 15, 201410 yr Thankfully interest in the World Cup in England should now wane, as England are virtually out of the tournament already.
June 17, 201410 yr Huge win for USA, Ghana looked like the more talented group but the guys took advantage of their opportunities. Particularly big to take the lead again like that late after Ghana had finally tied it and had the momentum.
June 18, 201410 yr Holland-Australia and Spain-Chile were good matches today. Not sad to see Spain eliminated.
June 23, 201410 yr seconds from a fantastic win by the US. that goal from Portugal was a heart breaker but wow what a goal. Still a good effort in the tie.
June 24, 201410 yr seconds from a fantastic win by the US. that goal from Portugal was a heart breaker but wow what a goal. Still a good effort in the tie. I got home during stoppage time, thinking I'd get to watch our boys celebrate. Portugal had other ideas.
