December 7, 200322 yr here they are all local jobs. migrant workers are for the farms. the jobs would not exist because they are paid per event, not on salary or per hour. many people would be out of work during the summer. pardon my ignorance, but how is the job situation any different if it were in proplayers or wherever else...people are still employed.
December 7, 200322 yr you are a single mom-bartender. you work for the heat, marlins, dolphins, and panthers with that order of priority for assignments. you get paid your wage which is 6 hours at minium wage most likely plus tips. you need all 4 teams to have a decent living and make ends meet. now the heat, panthers, and dolphins don't play in the summer, don't play as many games, and don't have as many people total come in. during the 1994 strike and even last year with the possibility it was on NBC6 where this scenario of not having the Marlins would hurt the economy during the summer in SoFLA.
