Before the game: Sam Dyson called up to take Brian Flynn's place.

Typical Eovaldi. Those who thought he would step up when Jose Fernandez got hurt were absolutely crazy. (I know, nobody over here thought that. Right.) Walks the lead off hitter against the best team in baseball, and then, because he is a two pitch pitcher that lives off his fastball, immediately gives up a mess of hits and before people have even taken their seats, the Fish are down 4-0. Lose this game and the season will start to slip away slowly but surely. If this team isn't at or over .500 two weeks from now they will be sellers at the Trade Deadline and we can kiss this season goodbye. Which Loria would love so he wont have to spend any money. Redmond will be happy because the team won't lose 100 games. The only unhappy people will be the long suffering Marlins fans who will probably see Casey McGehee, Steve Cishek, and possibly Stanton dumped at the deadline.

Since Jose Fernandez got injured instead of stepping up, Eovaldi has stepped down, pitching one bad game after another. He had a decent start last week, but now he has gone back to being garbage. He desperately needs to develop a third pitch or he will never make it as a starter. Maybe his best move would ne as a reliever, who knows. But he has basically sucked ever since our Ace went down.

Nathan LOLvaldi :(

They used the "his wife's expecting a baby/ just had a baby excuse" for like 4 games in a row. It doesn't fly anymore.

Comeback time?

I sure hope so! That's the best thing about this team; they never give up!

Well, the comeback kids strike again! Maybe they realize that losing this game will seriously hurt their chances of continuing to compete this year. Maybe they know Loria (and I believe Redmond too) would be happy if they were sellers at the Trade Deadline, not buyers. Whatever, go Fish!

Uh...didn't a whole bunch of guys want Dietrich back because he was killing the ball in the minors? Well, Solano has been hitting better than Deitrich! Deitrich & Marisnick have been terrible.

Well, nobody can say anything about this team's heart; they fight to the end and never give up. And a lot of credit for that goes to Redmond; he obviously is a good leader and motivator. I just don't like his bullpen moves and substitutions.
