Yeah I'd have to imagine he'll be in Jupiter soon, or maybe they'll keep him in GB for the entire season then move him up next year.

Considering he was a college kid, and his major league pedigree, makes you wonder what they would be waiting for...

Wallach and Romero in my opinion will see Jupiter before the season's up. Both are just playing too good to ignore.

 

Dean and Munoz are the other two Greensboro guys to keep note of, although they should be spending the rest of the year in Greensboro for starting next year in Jupiter.

 

While there's other guys to be excited about in Greensboro, Wallach and Romero are the two real "standout" guys to keep note of there. They are the guys most likely to have some kind of major league future, Romero in particular.

 

Nice to see Kolek getting experience in already this year. He'll be a fun guy to follow in Gboro next year.

 

Colin Moran's been really good the last two months. Still very little power, but he's hit consistently and might just be a Stanton kind of player in the sense that he struggles early and finds his groove as the season progresses. While not breaking out like we hoped Moran's pretty much on schedule for an August call up to Jax to get some experience there. ETA for Moran seems June 2016 to me.

 

Austin Barnes has held his own in Jax, which is nice.

 

Probably our best two hitters from this years draft to follow are Justin Twine and Stone Garrett. Like I said with Kolek nice to see these guys getting time to get their feet wet not too far removed from the draft.

He's now hitting a smooth .303, OPS is gradually moving up now at .753. I'm cool with a move up to Jax, success for hitters in Jupiter is usually a strong indicator a player is ready to advance. Nice to see Moran coming along.

His June/July have been pretty good. Still not much power, but starting to see that plate discipline everyone was talking about. I say sure, get him to Jax.

Yeah Moran's been hitting pretty good the last two months. He seems like he might just be a slow starter since he did the same thing his first season with the squad. He'll never develop the kind of power we hoped he would, but he's proving just as good a contact hitter as when we drafted him. If he started walking more or turned his usual one single a day games into some extra base hits he'd be such a better prospect.

 

But regardless he should be in Jacksonville soon. Said this before but Moran will go to Jax in August, get a month to see the pitching their so next season he's already got experience under his belt. That way if he destroys Jax to start 2015 he gets the June 2015 callup, although the more likely scenario is he comes up Opening Day 2016 to June 2016.
